Starting with the centuries-old architecture you’ll stroll past on a Hanoi tour, you will learn about the 4000-year-old history of this impressive nation as you have a one-on-one chat with local history and culture scholar. Leaving the bustle of the city, discover the 200-year-old Nom Village. Here you’ll meet with the head of the village before setting out to explore the beautiful architecture and visit the holiest place in the village, Nom Pagoda, embedded in a century-old pine forest which is famous for its ancient Buddhist statues.
The next day you’ll drive to Ninh Binh province, one of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam with its dramatic scenery of rice fields, mountains and historical temples. The adventure unfolds with a bike ride around Tho Ha village, a boat trip over a small canal among the verdant paddy fields and exploring inside various natural caves. Taking you to lesser-know parts of the famous Halong Bay, embark on an overnight cruise to Lan Ha Bay. Pass sights like an ancient lighthouse, relax on the sun deck surrounded by incredible views of limestone pillars, tiny tree-topped islets, dive into serene emerald green waters and take part in an open-air cooking class using local ingredients. All before dropping the anchor for the night at a tranquil spot. Either hangout in the unique floating cinema or simply unwind with a cocktail in hand, perfect if you’re planning a luxury honeymoon to Vietnam. In the morning you’ll start your day early with a soothing Tai Chi class before sailing to Frog Lake.
Arriving in Hoi An, one of Vietnam’s World Heritage sites, you’ll stay at the iconic Hotel Royal Hoi and explore the charming city on a guided walking tour that includes Japanese Covered Bridge, over 150-year-old merchant house and Kazik square. Leaving Hoi An for Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam where you’ll spend two nights. A fun way to explore the charm of Hue is on a Vespa excursion, zip through lesser-known roads to picturesque stops before heading to Vong Canh Hill and visiting a local family for a hosted dinner.
The final stop on your holiday in Vietnam is on a Ho Chi Minh City tour, formerly Saigon, where you’ll take a trip through time. Starting with a guided tour through the Pearl of Indochina with a respected cultural and history expert and finishing with a scenic cruise to the underground labyrinth of Cu Chi.
