Your adventure begins in Nairobi, where you will stay at the historic Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel and visit the Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Sanctuary. You’ll have your own private 4×4 vehicle with a knowledgeable driver-guide to take you through the spectacular scenery en route to Amboseli, Tsavo, and the Indian Ocean Coast at Diani.
Your first night will be at The Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel, a hidden gem with old-world charm and elegance that dates back to 1904. The following day, you’ll have a private transfer to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, which shelters and rehabilitates orphaned elephants until they’re ready to be released back into the wild. Your next stop will be at the Giraffe Centre, home to the highly endangered Rothschild Giraffe, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet and interact with these graceful creatures at their eye level from the feeding platform.
The following morning, you’ll leave the city behind and head into the picturesque Kenyan countryside, driving to Elewana Tortilis Camp, a solar-powered eco-lodge in Kitirua Conservancy adjacent to Amboseli National Park. The setting affords spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and one of the last strongholds of big herds of elephants, which this area is renowned for, along with an impressive variety of birdlife. Game drives and bush walks are included here. You can soak up the atmosphere of the bush as you drift off to sleep under canvas, listening to the magical sounds of the wilderness.
Your next safari stop is Tsavo West and the stylish and luxurious offerings at Finch Hattons Camp. Here, as well as the included game drives you can enjoy the swimming pool, stargazing terrace, observation tower, and fireside drinks at the boma, before retreating to your spacious tent and a soak in the deep copper bathtub. Camp is located south of Chyulu Hills, where you may wish to go on a guided hike. There is an elevated yoga deck and a Wellness spa.
Your final port of call on your journey, is at the Almanara Luxury Villas, located on the beachfront at Diani, set in tropical gardens amidst palm trees, with the azure warm waters of the Indian Ocean lapping the powder white sands. For the more active there are plenty of watersports and sightseeing available or you may choose to relax and enjoy the sunken pool bar or the sip a sundowner on the rooftop terrace. Delicious cuisine on offer here to tantalise your tastebuds.

Built at the turn of the century in 1904, Fairmont The Norfolk has witnessed most of Nairobi's recent history. In turn it has become something of a landmark in the city itself, playing host to major actors, presidents and legendary explorers over the last century or so. Its historic flair hasn't diminished one bit over the decades, with tea on the elegant Lord Delamare Terrace arriving on a silver tray, cream colour scheme and dark-wood furniture in the rooms and vintage carts pocking the lush, tropical gardens.
When skies over Mount Kilimanjaro are clear, the views of the mountain from camp are stunning. This charming rustic ecolodge offers tented accommodation, decorated with earthy hues. There is a swimming pool surrounded by palms and acacias, to enjoy in between your morning and afternoon game drives. Keep your binoculars and camera to hand for the impressive tuskers and magnificent herds of elephant that this area is famed for.
